"Is he going to his girlfriend's house?"
Yes, as a matter of fact Son #1 has been invited to dinner with The Girl's family tonight.
"Is he bringing bacon?"
"No."
"Well, if you had a boyfriend, and he brought bacon, wouldn't you like that? What girl doesn't like bacon?"
Son #3 does have a point. Bacon is good. But not one of your more traditional courting gifts.

That son #3. He's a thinker. He's going to win ALL the girls when he starts bringing them bacon. Or is that just me?
A bouquet of bacon?
Give the boy a Smartie - he's got it all figured out ;o)
Where did he get that idea? He's a bit young for the "bring home the bacon" phrase...unless they still use it?
While there is turkey bacon (which I guess is more a bacon-like type of thing) bringing bacon is probably not a good idea if you're visiting anyone Jewish.
Funnee! Be inneresting to see what happens when he starts dating.
Ms.Q - I thought bringing home the bacon was on the timeless side...but then again my 10 & 12 year olds probably wouldn't know it...
Yeah, I'm gonna say...bacon?!?!?! ASIDE from "as in bringing home the", my vote's for chocolate. :-0 :-0 :-0
Jill: speaking of timeless, CHOCOLATE is timeless. I mean, wasn't it worth MORE THAN GOLD at one time? I doubt that happened to bacon. Hot chocolate was thought to be something akin to the drink of gods and kings.
