Ugh. That stuff should come with a warning label

I saw some friends today, got some hugs. And that is great. But I got home a little while ago, and realized that that nauseated feeling I've been battling all afternoon is directly related to whomever it was who hugged me, while wearing Shalimar.

I know, I know, Shalimar is lovely and I am a clod for not loving it, but it makes me just want to hurl, ok?

In a perfect world, everyone who wears Shalimar would be required to wear a small warning label.

I don't even know what that is, but the first thing that comes to mind is Petruli oil, which I don't like. *scrunches nose* I'm off to google Shalimar.

Sue - I think it's perfume. All that stuff makes me nauseated...even though I think sometimes I should try some.

I dunno what Shalimar smells like - all I know it's some perfume that's been around for a long time. I'm with Sue on patchouli oil - I don't like it. It makes me think of potheads, dirty hair and skinny flaccid arms.

I like a *little* cologne or perfume on someone - just enough to catch a hint of it when you're close to them. No scent but soap is good, too.

I don't like it when people wear so much scent that they tag me like a dog or cat if we hug and I end up smelling them on me.

I stopped wearing perfume years ago (and I never wore that much when I did use it). I know a few people who are allergic (gives them headaches) plus it can be distracting.

What I do is use some of that scented body lotion when I feel like some scent. It's so subtle I don't think anyone can smell it! It's probably more psychological than anything.

Oh! Patchouli! I was wondering what Petruli was... I LOVE patchouli!!! Well, I say I love it. I don't actually have any, but when I smell it, it always reminds me of high school. That and clove cigarettes always remind me of high school.
